Newly Qualified Accountant / Management Accountant

Are you analytically sharp, commercially curious, and ready to take the next step in your finance career? We’re looking for a recently qualified accountant who is eager to learn and develop the skills needed to progress into a Management Accountant position.

In this hands‑on role, you’ll work closely with both finance and operational teams, producing accurate management accounts, analysing performance drivers, and helping us deepen our understanding of product and customer profitability.

Job Purpose     To support the Company Accountant through accurate management accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting. The role is aimed at a recently qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) looking to develop commercial and operational finance experience

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation and timely reporting of monthly management accounts
• Post journals including accruals, prepayments, fixed asset depreciation
• Involvement in balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with the preparation of Board Packs and commentary
• Involvement in the calculation of budgets and financial forecasting
• Undertake detailed variance analysis of performance against budget
• Produce regularly updated product costings
• Undertake product and customer profitability analysis
• Review promotional pricing and performance
• Work with operational teams to understand cost drivers
• Preparation, calculation and analysis of Key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Responsibility for month end and year end procedures on our accounting software
• Support the year-end audit, and liaison with our external Auditors
• Develop and improve internal financial controls and ensure adherence
• Stock management & reporting, analysing variances, valuation
• Overall responsibility for and control of the part master information contained in the ERP software.
• Responsibility for completion and submission of intrastat, EC Sales, DETI and National Statistics returns
• Provide a financial support service to other managers and departments.
• Any other reasonable duties as may be required.
