We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaning / Kitchen Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day operation of the kitchen by assisting with food preparation, serving meals, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and carrying out laundry duties.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, takes pride in maintaining high hygiene standards, and works well as part of a team.
Working Hours
This position is available on either of the following shift patterns:
- 1:30pm to 8:00pm (30 hours per week)
- 1:30pm to 10:00pm (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities
- Assist with basic food preparation.
- Support the serving of meals and hospitality requirements.
- Maintain stock control and ensure appropriate storage of supplies.
- Carry out general kitchen cleaning duties.
- Wash dishes, pans and kitchen equipment.
- Complete required records and documentation accurately.
- Collect, sort and wash laundry, including uniforms, linens and towels.
- Operate washing machines and dryers safely and efficiently.
- Monitor laundry supplies and report low stock levels.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the laundry area.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and reducing inefficiencies
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the Production Manager.
Person Specification
Knowledge
Essential
- Basic understanding of hygiene and safety standards.
Desirable
- Knowledge of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point).
Relevant Experience
Essential
- No previous experience required as full training will be provided.
Desirable
- Previous experience in a kitchen, catering, cleaning or laundry environment.
- Food Hygiene Certificate.
