Feeding tips for your dog!
Below are some tips for feeding your dog:
We believe sticking to one type of food is best for your dog. It allows your dog to get use to a diet and may help regulate their digestive system. Unless instructed by your vet, do not add any supplements to your dog’s diet or food. If you feel like your dog may benefit from added supplements, seek proper advice first. If you are thinking of switching your dog’s food completely, do this gradually over a week or so, to allow your dog to get use to the change. Your vet will have instructions for how to do this best, depending on each dog.
Keep an eye to how much food your dog eats. If you are offering too much food, your dog may not be able to eat it all. Sometimes it’s hard to know just how much your dog should eat. At Brandy, we have a feeding guide to help dog owners, however, we would always suggest speaking to your vet if you feel your dog is eating too much or too little food.
When your pet is trying to eat, we suggest giving them some space and peace. Removing a bowl before the dog is finished can sometimes cause anxiety in our pets, and in some cases, it may even lead to food aggression.
Finally, make sure your dog has an all rounded diet, meeting it’s needs and helping it live a healthy life. At Brandy, we know every dog has different needs, which is why we have a wide range of products, including Grain Free. Check out the full range here.
