Naturo crown Manchester spaniel ‘Rossi’ as winner of ‘Natural Beauty’ competition with Tourism Ireland, Stena Line and Blessingbourne Estate
Our brand Naturo, has found the search for the most naturally beautiful pets in Great Britain and the Netherlands in partnership with Tourism Ireland, has come to a successful end, with Rossi the working cocker spaniel winning a trip to Northern Ireland for himself and owner Gill Pickersgill.
In September this year Naturo launched a campaign with Tourism Ireland in the Great Britain and the Netherlands to discover the ‘Natural Beauty’ of pets and to showcase Northern Ireland as a pet friendly destination for visitors and their four-legged friends. Thousands of Naturo customers entered pictures and videos of their pets at their most ‘naturally beautiful’, including Heidi the parrot who shares pasta with her owner (picture the spaghetti scene from Lady and the Tramp), two parrots taking a shower together and a horse who carries his best friend (a golden retriever) around on his back.
Gill Pickersgill from Manchester and her dog Rossi the working cocker spaniel, along with a friend, will be enjoying a return trip on Stena Line and a two night stay at Blessingbourne Estate in Co Tyrone to experience the natural beauty of Northern Ireland.
Marketing Manager, Laura Rafferty said, “After sifting through thousands of fabulous entries, we are delighted to announce our winners. The video of Rossi embodies everything that the Naturo brand stands for – healthy, happy pets showing their natural behaviours. We launched the Naturo brand in 2011 in response to feedback from pet owners who wanted to ensure they were feeding their pets healthy, natural food. The range has since expanded to include superfoods such as turkey, sweet potatoes, cranberries and kale as well as grain free options for pets with digestion issues or allergies.”
Elaine McShane, Marketing Manager, Stena Line said, ““We were pleased to partner with Tourism Ireland, Naturo and Blessingbourne Estate to support this great initiative to encourage pet owners to consider Ireland when making leisure travel plans with their pets and look forward to welcoming Rossi and Gill on board very soon.”
Julie Wakley, Head of Tourism Ireland, Great Britain said, “Tourism Ireland was delighted to partner with Naturo in Great Britain, to highlight holidays and short breaks in Northern Ireland. It was also an excellent opportunity to work with our partners Stena Line and Blessingbourne Estate, to showcase Northern Ireland as the perfect destination for pet lovers and their pets.”
Colleen Lowry from Blessingbourne Estate said, “We pride ourselves on being a pet friendly paradise and were delighted to partner with Naturo, Tourism Ireland and Stena Line for this exciting campaign. With beautiful walks through fairytale woodlands and past private lakes on our 550-acre country estate, Rossi will enjoy exploring Blessingbourne just as much as his owner Gill. We very much look forward to welcoming Rossi onto our Estate to enjoy a relaxing country escape in luxury pet friendly accommodation.”
